Editor-in-chief
David Lockey is a consultant at London’s Air Ambulance and a consultant in Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesia in Bristol and Clinical Director of Severn Major Trauma Network. As a military reserve he has worked in the conflicts in Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan. He is Hon. Professor in Trauma and Pre-hospital Emergency Medicine at Bristol University and Hon. Senior Research Fellow at Queen Mary, University of London. He is currently Chairman of the Intercollegiate Board for Training in Pre-hospital Emergency Medicine, Vice Chairman of the Faculty of Pre-hospital Care of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a member of the National Clinical Reference Group for Major Trauma.
Managing editor
Sophie Hardy is an Emergency medicine trainee currently working in a district general hospital in Surrey, England. She has her degree in Medicine from Bart’s and the Royal London Medical School and has completed a Masters degree in Trauma Sciences. She took a particular interest in major incidents during this degree and continues to work towards the improved reporting of major incidents and our emergency response to them.
Steering group
Marius Rehn is an Anaesthetist currently working as a HEMS SpR at London´s Air Ambulance. He has a Ph.D. in trauma systems and holds an Associate Professor position at the University of Stavanger. Marius is also a senior researcher at The Norwegian Air Ambulance Foundation.
Julian Thompson is a Consultant in Intensive Care and Anaesthesia at North Bristol NHS Trust and Research Lead for the Severn Major Trauma Network, UK. He trained in Oxford and London, completed a doctorate in hypoxia and genetics at University College London and was Executive Director of London’s Air Ambulance from 2011-15. His clinical and research interests in pre hospital critical care, trauma and wilderness medicine have been further developed by serving with the British Army in Afghanistan and leading mountaineering and exploratory expeditions.
Stephen J M Sollid is a consultant anaesthesiologist and HEMS doctor at the Oslo University Hospital. He is also the Chief of medicine of the Norwegian Air Ambulance Foundation and an Associate Professor at Stavanger University. His main research activities are in prehospital patient safety.
Trine Staff, Associate Professor at Oslo and Akershus University College, Paramedic bachelor programme. Main research field: Severe injuries from motor vehicle collisions, EMS documentation, Triage research. Main interest trauma, injury prevention and prehospital emergency medicine.
Sabina Fattah works as registrar in substance misuse medicine at Oslo University Hospital. The topic of her PhD is reporting from the pre-hospital phase of major incidents and involved the development of this webpage. She has previously worked as managing editor of majorincidentreporting.org
She is also an European Union Civil Programme expert.
Lasse Raatiniemi is a 39 years old anaesthesist from Finland. He works as HEMS doctor in Finnhems 50, Finland and Rescue helicopter in Banak, Norway. He is also Medical Chief for Ground EMs at Oulu University Hospital. Main professional interests are: HEMS, mass casualties and trauma.
anne_siri Anne Siri Johnsen is an anaesthesiologist at Oslo University Hospital. As a PhD student at the University of Stavanger and Norwegian Air Ambulance Foundation she researches HEMS use in major incidents.  She is also an European Union Civil Programme expert.
Kristi G. Bache is a molecular biologist from the university of Oslo. She holds a PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology from the Radium Hospital, and spent 4 years as a post doctor at the University of California, San Diego. Currently she is employed as a senior scientist and head of research at The Norwegian Air Ambulance Foundation, and as the Editor-in-Chief in the scientific journal Scandinavian Journal of Trauma, Resuscitation and Emergency Medicine.
